An Executive Coach at LHH FESCO will work with all levels of business executives, professionals and other key staff members to maximize their leadership and management potential. They may also help in the resolution of performance problems and career decision making issues.
Coaches provide a process that facilitates learning which leads to behavioral change. It provides individuals and teams with the tools and knowledge to become more effective in their work environment. Coaching involves observation of specific patterns of behavior, giving feedback and developing an action plan to achieve positive behavior change. The focus of coaching is developmental with an emphasis on performance improvement or growth in key leadership or management skill areas.
In addition to other projects and assignments, the average caseload varies but can be approximately 10 to 12 six month coaching engagements.
Establish rapport with HR, Coaching Client, stakeholders and senior management, demonstrate working knowledge of corporate strategy and how these areas drive business decisions
Work with the Client Organization to determine ROI for the assignment
Adhere to confidentiality boundaries with both the Client Organization and the Coaching Client
Create a trusting partnership with the Coaching Client and a clear, mutual understanding of the coaching process and outcomes
Incorporate principles of adult learning into the process including active listening, focused questioning, creative solutions and candid supportive feedback
Administer and interpret assessment instruments as well as conduct internal and external interviews to gather qualitative data
Observe behavior, identify key areas for development and assist the client in seeing the gaps that may exist between where they are and where they want to be at the end of the coaching process
Focus the Coaching Client and company on shared responsibility and accountability to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of expectations
Provide respectful, candid feedback to both the Client Organization and the Coaching Client
Promote autonomy not dependence in the Coaching Client
Promote learning, experimentation and open mindedness
Monitor the process in order to keep it moving forward
Consistently keep the Client Organization as well as LHH FESCO in the loop including immediately flagging problems and issues early
Appropriately end the assignment with the use of client and manager evaluations
Participate in Professional Development calls (optional but highly encouraged)
Operate with the highest standards of honesty, ethics, and integrity
Business oriented executive coaching experience focused on measurable, behavioral outcomes. External vs. internal coaching experience preferred.
Coach training by an accredited provider.
Minimum 7-10 years corporate line management experience.
A clear understanding of the role coaching plays with offerings as the Organizational, Group and Individual levels.
Experience using leadership assessment tools including 360 tools.
Track record working with mid to senior level executives (board level a plus).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to model agility and influence behaviors in ways that add credibility to the coach and strengthen the overall coaching process.
Relevant experience or education in Organizational Development, Counseling/Psychology or Industrial Psychology.
