  • ROLE SUMMARY:
    This position is responsible for supporting and leading the sourcing team to drive and direct the end-to-end sourcing activities of assigned product categories. This position will leverage an Asia based vendor structure to well understand the sourcing needs of US Sourcing and Product Development teams. This leader possesses inspirational and insightful skill sets to build a high performing team. Strengthen performance of vendors and ensure on time delivery to strive for achieving the company’s objectives. Monitor and streamline the sourcing procedures and policies, ensuring the overall sourcing and product development projects achieve operational efficiency.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Leading a sourcing team to be responsible for the end-to-end sourcing processes from vendor development and management, liaison with agents, price negotiation product development to meet the on-time delivery, quality and commercial KPIs.
    Key driver of identification and development of potential vendors as well as maintaining a relationship with existing vendors to ensure they meet all requirements and drive vendor performance.
    Identify opportunities and conduct analysis to streamline sourcing process and enhance product specification for price negotiation, cost reduction initiatives and high quality of products. Responsible for cost and commercial claim negotiation.
    Passionate to lead and develop talent for accelerating personal growth. Strong ability to build, develop, coach and motivate the Sourcing teams with product category expertise and the product life cycle management including but not limited to product development brief, Request for Proposal, category costing bids, manufacturing and on-time delivery.
    Keep abreast of latest market trend and update market information to share with management, sourcing and product development teams.
    Process and analyze data. Monitor the project status of assigned product categories to ensure on-time delivery.
    Oversee identification of products to be developed independently in conjunction with buyers and product design. As a key person to liaise with other departments including QA and external vendors.
    Support ad hoc assignments and projects if necessary.

任职要求

  • REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelor’s degree.
    Hands-on computer knowledge in MS word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Chinese Word Processing.
    Minimum 8 years sourcing experience in Hardline categories with at least 3 years in management level.
    Solid sourcing and development experience with strong vendor connection in global market.
    Good leadership and people management skills with sound judgement, sets good example for collaborating with others.
    Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    Strong sense of business acumen and planning.
    Strong market sense and knowledge in cost structure.
    Strong problem solving, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills.
    The ability to work in a demanding but collegial, team-oriented environment. Excellent command in both written and verbal English& Mandarin.
    Frequent travel is required; Up to 50% travel.
    Sourcing and managerial experience preferably gained from US buying office/ retailer.
