职位描述

• • Leads the identification of technologies/ partners to strengthen the Device innovation pipeline, focusing on key consumer needs & IP white spaces, by understanding the consumer needs, technology trend, product knowhow, competition landscape, regulation dynamic.
  • Identifies technologies, capability gaps, innovation opportunities for the Device Eco system aligned with the R&D category road map (supported by Open Innovation, Product and Invention Strategies as well as Insights and Foresights).
  • Uses a variety of tools/ practices to identify new potential technological partnerships aligned to critical gaps.
  • Screens and assesses technology opportunities identified through Open Innovation to enable subsequent adoption by development teams and the business.
  • Develops & maintains an ecosystem of best-in-class external innovation partners and ensure fit-for-purpose contracts and agreements are in place.
  • Accountable to deliver agreed technical solution with identified partners and relevant BAT centre of Excellence, including any required patent filings.
  • Ensure compliance and accurate project reporting according Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes.
  • Build collaboration across the New Categories Product Development Centres of Excellence, Procurement and Legal teams, Insights and Foresights, Competitor Intelligence, Invention Strategy CoE, and Patent teams.
  • Play an active role in people leadership, talent development and coaching to junior members in the Device Engineering CoEs

任职要求

• • Track record of R&D product experience with a further background in consumer electronics product development.
  • Experience in one of the technical domains, Mechanical Engineering, Materials, Electronics, Software & Battery. With a broader system level understanding of product and technology development.
