• Position Overview
  The Head of Biologics will play a crucial role in the discovery and development of biologics for first-in-class targets of immunology diseases. This role leads the Biologics team to generate antigens and antibodies and is the key contact person for external partners on biologics R&D, patent filings and collaborations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in antibody drug R&D in an industry setting, high capability in problem solving, a keen eye for details, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
  Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Biologics team with a strategy and capabilities aligned with company mission and strategy.
  • Participate in novel target proposing, evaluation and validation and provide a tailored biological modality solution (mostly antibody of a suitable format) for any given target.
  • Lead the team to generate antigens of suitable formats for immunization, antibody screening, and functional studies.
  • Lead the team to discover biologics of suitable formats for first-in-class targets, for which reference biologics may not exist.
  • Lead to humanize biologics and to optimize the functions, developability, PK and toxicity of biologics.
  • Select and work with CROs and CDMOs for the full value chain of biologics R&D.
  • Streamline biologics R&D for high efficiency by optimal integration of internal and external capabilities.
  • Represent Biologics function in external communications and collaborations.
  • Co-lead patent filings on biological assets.
  • Co-lead lab digitalization including compound registration, inventory management and laboratory condition monitoring, etc.
  • Have the opportunities to lead technology development in biologics R&D.

任职要求

• Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology or a relevant field. Oversea experience is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of antibody drug R&D experience in the industry.
  • First authorship on peer-reviewed publications and co-inventorship on antibody patents or patent applications are mandatory.
  • Clear understanding of the full value chain of antibody drug R&D.
  • Experience of leading antibody projects to PCC or IND is a big plus.
  • Demonstrated capability of antigen generation, antibody discovery and characterization for novel or challenging targets.
  • Experience of managing CRO or CDMO studies is a big plus.
  • Experience of utilizing computational approaches is a big plus.
  • Demonstrated capability of solving challenging strategic or technical problems with innovative solutions.
  • Passion for biologics drug R&D on first-in-class targets.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with a keen eye on details.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English & Mandarin communications.
